JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 7: Steel Ball Run review
Y'know the first time I've read Steel Ball Run, I was honestly peed off at Araki for not continuing Part 7 as a sequel after Stone Ocean, completely dropped it at 3 chapters last month. Then I suddenly realised this month I made a mistake and boy, I wasn't ready for all the shenanigans that were going to make me become addicted to reading the long whole 95 chapters in 1 day!

I tell ya, Gyro and Johnny were one of the best duo in the Jojo series. I laughed me ass with Gyro coming up with silly sayings like "Did you say something? Were you talking into my ass...? Because I can't hear anything with my ass! " including the cheese song he made up with Johnny. It makes me sad also but I ain't telling you what happened to him unless you read this manga. Gyro may be acting as a tough guy, but he has the best humour in terms of being unpredictable with his words.

I felt so sorry for Johnny though, like the poor fella, his father wasn't even proud of him being a jockey and kicked him out of the family home after falling out with him after the tragic death of his brother. It breaks your heart man like Johnny is actually such a nice bloke if you get to know him more through out the manga! It's even good that Araki created a character with a physical disability because it really shows whatever life throws at them, they can be super heros also equally as someone who doesn't have a physical disability!

I really wish they made Poco Loco join the team because I found he wouldve been the potential candidate to be a good team member alongside with Gyro and Johnny. Unfortunately we can't always get what we wish for in some mangas but yeah this was a very good reading experience. I just loved the horse racing scenes, including the pair bois going across the desert!

Yeah lads definitely advice you to read the whole story of this manga if Part 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 have impressed you enough!

ONIICHAN NO KOTO NANKA ZENZEN SUKI JA NAI N DA KARA NE review
This manga is interesting in that it is unabashedly perverted. It doesn’t try to beat around the bush at all in what it is. The actual fan service is actually pretty weak and not even that prevalent. But the perviness is a core part of the story and characters and hence ends up pervading into everything. At the same time though, it’s not like it handles any of this with even a shred of maturity, rather its ridiculously childish as well. Hence it is completely and utterly awful, which is actually pretty awesome. The comedy is absolutely ridiculous and hilarious. Every single character is crazy. The various arcs are terrible and incredibly strange but definitely engrossing. It’s not great, maybe not even good, but I can’t say that it wasn’t interesting. There were some issues I’d like to point out though. First off I felt that how characters hopped in and out of the story was very awkwardly handled, though character development was never really a major thing for the most part so I suppose it didn’t matter all that much. The exception to that is the characters that remained in the focus for the entire series, Nao and Shuusuke, who do get some character development towards the ending, but I thought the ending was a complete mess. It was strangely not a clear ending nor not a clear ending. It was just kind of sad and pathetic, which fits the manga in a way I suppose, but wasn’t particularly satisfying. I also thought the art wasn’t that great.

A manga that is ridiculously perverted but manages to make that interesting strangely enough.

Fushi no Sougishi review
I had high hopes for this manga. I really did.

I'll try to keep this short..

The main character is the stock cardboard cutout of every shounen mc. He's a half-breed immortal/human so the humans were scared of him while the immortals looked down upon him. Mixing this with a stereotypical sad backstory and a generic goal like 'becoming stronger and making others recognize me' leads to a pretty bland mc.

Most of the other characters aren't the best either. They're insufferable and a simple sad backstory wouldn't justify their actions whatsoever. They don't feel like characters but rather like a walking cast of bland, unlikeable cliches.

The story tries to be unpredictable and unexpected but ultimately the 'unexpected' moments seem to be pieced together by putting together random puzzle pieces and hoping it works. The unexpected moments can be exciting to read but a few panels later, you forget about it and ultimately, the excitement is lost.

Most of the plot seems to be filled with either coincidences or conveniences for the plot and there's also large and noticeable plot holes.

The biggest positive for this manga has to be without a doubt the art. I have no idea who this author is but the art he makes is really nice. It's detailed while still being pleasant to read. It feels like there's a ton of passion that's being put into the art and it just improves the experience by a ton. The art can get really creative too in the use of actions with the different objects of each panel.

-----

It's not like I hate this manga but I probably won't pay much attention to it. It's got its moments and I likely would've enjoyed it more when I was younger.

And although I'm not liking the current state of this manga, it might get a lot better later as there aren't that many chapters out and I'll come back to this a year or two later and might be completely wrong in everything I said but from what I read so far, I didn't get a good impression (except for the really good art).

Don't let what I said to prevent you from checking it out though. At least check the first few chapters to see how it goes

OK let's be fair, when you read the synopsis you might have figured that it's just a manga meant for a quick read and nothing to get invested in,you won't build up any expectations for this manga other than it being a quick read and that's exactly why I LOVED this series. It knows exactly what it is and tells you what it is right from page 1.
Story-A overused story about forced marriage and the MC's fighting with each other and slowly falling in love constitutes the plot. But that's not to say it's boring. It does have it's own cute moments and funny moments(Saigiri trying to cook dinner or cross dressing and actually getting mistaken for a boy are all just if not hilarious at smile worthy).
Art-It's not exactly the worst I have ever seen but the art is pretty poor. There's no emotions on the characters faces.
Character-Well the characters are not exactly fresh.Saigiri is the rude, tomboyish inexperienced about love girl and her husband Sanada is the guy who's actually caring but hides his affection by meaning mean. But Sanada is a bit different from other guys like this because while he tells her outright that he won't do anything to "bony brat" like her for at least 3 years he's constantly teasing her by doing "erotic stuff" most of which Saigiri only understands after he tells her outright(eg:-rubbing egg white on her face while pretending to wipe it off and telling her it looks "erotic" now).
Enjoymet-Because I read this manga without expecting anything other than a forgettable series,I found myself enjoying Saigiri's outbursts,Sanada's teasing and Saigiri's failed attempts to become a perfect wife.
Overall-I gave this manga a 6 because that's what I felt that was all the series deserved but I'll tell this to anyone-I LOVED CONFLICT LOVER

This earlyish manga from Nananan Kiriko is concise and staid, but there is so much emotion buried just beneath the surface that flashes into the forefront at key moments, through the gestures, tears and words the characters can no longer hide. There is a bit less going on compared to a story like Pumpkin and Mayonnaise, but it's notable for focusing on two young queer girls and the circumstances which ultimately keep them from each other. It is a painful, sad, realistic story, but not, I think, without hope for the main characters. As for the art, the clean linework and lack of much variation in tonal value give the story the feel of a washed out memory, to me.

Endo revealing that she asked Kayako to cut her hair so that she would remember her when she's forced to confront her feelings toward the married man is a striking moment. A beautiful demonstration of her commitment and love, and a moment that reveals her maturity and understanding despite being so young. Endo is a girl who has already made and learned from some terrible mistakes in her short life, and wants to make good going forward. Really it's so sad and beautiful, and her actions and characterization make her unique and make this manga stand out, though it may seem to just be a rather straight forward story about average teenage girls on the surface. In a way, it is, but I suppose it shows how extraordinary average people can be at times. Maybe you think I'm exaggerating, it's not like she's a lowkey super hero or something. I don't think a person needs to be. To me, there's not that much separating the ordinary from the extraordinary, but it's extremely challenging to push forward those few extra centimeters to get there.

The characters:

Endo Masami: has bangs. later gets a haircut, leaving her hair pretty short, but you can still tell it's her because her hair is not neatly cut (compared to Nakano's). likes Kayako, previously had an affair with a married man.

Kayako Kirishima: hair parted in the middle. Likes Endo, sleeps with random guy from another school to test her sexuality/understand Endo better.

Nakano: Hair very short. Endo's best friend.

Watanabe: Jealous of Kayako because she likes Endo AND she likes the guy Kayako slept with.

There's also a class role call at the start of the manga where they show who is who. If you forget, check back there (I did a couple times, then never had a problem again). It's really not that confusing. Is this how pathetic people are on this website? You hold the fact that you can't figure out who's who against the manga?..
